About
I'm Apryl Koll the breeder behind AK’s Qutesy Doxies located in Panama City, FL. All of my moms and dads are family first. I have a limited amount in my program making it to where I can maintain a healthy relationship with each one. My moms and dads are never crated unless for a good reason. They have their freedom and live a great dog life and even have their own pontoon boat that we take them on at lest once a week sometimes more. They are able to get out and run the shorelines enjoying the sand, sun and salt water while I tag along capturing the happy moments of them loving life with my camera. They all LOVE their pontoon boat.
All the precious babies are raised inside my home in the Doxie nursery. There they grow up listening to some good ole County music and watch Disney+ often. These babies are never crated and have plenty of room in their play pen to explore, play and most importantly have a designated area to potty. At 3 weeks old I start working with them on doing their business in a litter pan with alfalfa pallets. This method gets them familiar with the smell of grass and gives them a great start on being house trained. By the time these guys are ready to leave me they have litter pan training down pretty well if not perfect making potty training in their new homes a breeze. I think it is very important to teach them to potty in a certain area and not just lay pee pads down covering the entire area allowing them to potty wherever they please. Pad training is the most simplest way to let the pups potty because it's natural instinct for them to want to potty on a soft comfy surface verses an area with pellets or grass. I prefer to teach them NOT to potty on soft cloth like surfaces in hopes they never feel the need to potty on things they are not supposed to. You wouldn't believe how many pups that came to me with the mindset they can potty wherever they choose and especially on soft surfaces like a rug or even a dog bed because they were given no guidance on doing their business in a designated area. Many of my newbies that came to me from other breeders I have had to break a horrible habit before he/she taught my other kiddos to do the same.
I spend a lot of one on one time with all my babies and as they get a little older I introduce them to several different fruits and veggies that are safe for dogs. Getting them in the habit very young with eating healthy snacks makes it a breeze when they are older to offer healthy snacks in between meals. Each and every one of my pups are de wormed regularly starting at 2 weeks of age. When they leave me they do so with a State of Florida health certificate issued by my vet. They are declared healthy, parasite free and up to date on vaccines. I do have a health guarantee/sales contract. After you have reserved your baby I send frequent updates via text or messenger with pictures and videos so you can watch them grow throughout the 8 weeks they are with me. I only ask that you return this favor to me throughout your baby's lifetime and send me updates with pictures so my heart can be filled knowing that they are loved very much and living a great doggie life as they deserve. Each pup will go home with a awesome puppy pack that I go a little bit overboard with what I fill it with, lol! The most important items to me are a blanket and 1 certain toy that have the scent from mom and siblings on them. These 2 items I put in the pups sleeping / play area a week before time to leave me giving all pups and mom the chance to get their scent on them. These 2 items to me are comfort things that will help each pup transition the first few days into their new homes. Their transition time is a bit scary for them as they have never been out of their comfort zone(the nursery) or away from their siblings. A few other things that are in the puppy packs are of course a bag of the food they are currently on, health record/paperwork, shampoo, collar, leash, brush, water & food bowl, liquid ear cleanser, nail clippers, brush, several new toys, and much more. As your breeder I am always happy to hear from you at anytime with questions or concerns you might have through your baby's lifetime. I am always happy to help in anyway I can. These are my baby's and I love them unconditionally from the minute they are born. If any life changes are to arise making it not possible for you to care for your baby he/she is ALWAYS welcome back. I will never judge or frown upon anyone that is suddenly unable to give their baby the life they deserve and I will take any of my babies back with open arms, no questions asked. These guys are my whole world. Breeding is something I do for my heart & soul, not for a source of income. I am home 24-7 so these guys have my undivided attention.
