Our kids all have a great dog life and are always treated as family. They are never crated unless it’s absolutely necessary. They have crates to sleep in if they choose but the door always remains open. Most of them choose to pile up on their futon to sleep together. They have a doggy door that goes out into their own fenced in yard where they can dig their hearts out, run, play, swim in the kiddie pool or run through the large pipes that run along the side of the house. They also get to have the entire backyard to themselves several times a week under supervision. Most of them enjoy the pool and some of them are crazy about playing swim fetch. They will swim to the deep end for the floating toys.
Having a pool it’s very important that they know how to swim and most importantly know where the exit is from any location in case one were to fall in by accident. Accidents happen even to the most cautious people so with that in mind we prefer to work with each one of the fur kids each summer ensuring that they all know how and where to get out safely.
These guys have their own pontoon boat and absolutely love taking it out for a day of salt water & sand. When they see the boat at the end of the dock ready to go for the day they all go bonkers and won’t stop jumping for joy until it’s time for them all to run as fast as they can to jump on. They all have a cute little life jacket for the ride and will bark like crazy when we pass any and all aids to navigation LOL!
We always pick a secluded spot where they all can run the shore lines and enjoy their freedom. I just tag along and capture the happy moments with my camera. It makes my heart full seeing them so happy.
My husband and I are home 7 days a week and are able to give these guys the time and attention they should get. We prefer to have a healthy relationship with each one and believe that having a limited amount gives us the chance to offer more one on one time. We love our kiddos and seeing them happy is important to us. Their time here on earth is never long enough. They deserve a much longer healthy life than they are given.
